Friday Shoe History Corner: Chandelier Shoes

These chandelier heels look like they could easily have come off the spring 2008 runways, especially since heel decorations are all the rage this season. Their real age? The chandelier shoes are from 1957.

    I think it’s the way stockings were seamed and reinforced in the 1950s. But I had the same thought at first.
