Posted on July 18th, 2008 by shoesense under Boots, Friday Shoe History CornerFrom the Bata Shoe Museum: “The famous shoemaker Jean-Louis François Pinet (1817-1897) created this intricately embroidered boot. His beautifully constructed and elaborately decorated boots peeked out from under the skirts of the best-dressed women in the Western world.”
