Friday Shoe History Corner: Herbert and Beth Levine mule, 1954
Posted on August 10th, 2007 by shoesense under Shoe History CornerI have to say that Beth Levine is one of my favorite shoe designers–fanciful, imaginative, surprising, colorful–you name it! She fully deserves the title of ‘First Lady of American Shoe Design’. The mule below has a silver kidskin spiral as a heel and dates back to the good ol’ days of the 50s. Just gorgeous!
