Friday Shoe history Corner: Landscape Shoes

It belongs to a contemporary designer, Jared Steffensen, intent on bringing landscape into every conceivable design element–quite literally. Behold this bucolic scene:

Sure, they may not fit very well underneath the passenger seat in front of you on a plane, and it might be tricky to drive in them without squashing the tree. However, they’re easy to accessorize:

On second thoughts, maybe I’ll leave the landscaping to the professionals and…um…admire this at a distance!
