Giambattista Valli’s “Victoria” Shoes

posted by: shoesense in Giambattista Valli, High heels, Platforms on April 2nd, 2008

One of the shoes we get the most inquiries about are the Giambattista Valli “Victoria” shoes, so eloquently modelede by his muse, Victoria Beckham, as seen here. Frustrated shoe lovers everywhere are crying in vain and pumping their well-manicured fists at the sky: Why, oh why were they condemned to behold such splendor only so they be denied?

Unfortunately, the Victoria shoe doesn’t seem to be found with any large retailers in the US. The only way to buy it–but only in one color combo–is through  Luisaviaroma for €600 (I’m guessing, about $900?):

Good thing though?  At this price you get free worldwide shipping (plus VAT deduction, which can be substantial). Just make sure you can walk in them, though–after all, they are about 6-inch high.

Or, you can always be patient and wait until they come to a store near you (yeah, I don’t really believe it either).

I think Alex is right, the ones on luisaviaroma.com look like a tamer version of the ones seen on the runway; the arch isn't as dramatic…does anyone know where I can find the ones Mary-Kate wore? Thanks!

Alex: the website gives a height of 150 mm, which is almost 6 inches. That's pretty high in my book! (Of course, the platform attenuates the impact somewhat).
