Golden Globes 2011 Pregnancy Shoes

posted by: Shomore in Casadei Shoes, Celebrity Shoe Style, Stella McCartney Shoes on January 17th, 2011

Most women opt for flats or low heels when they are pregnant, but not so for Natalie Portman (who took home a Best Actress Award. Yay!) and Jane Krokowski  at the  2011 Golden Globes tonight.   They wore, respectively, Stella McCartney and Casadei heels.  I’m not sure whether to give them kudos for walking the red carpet in these shoes or worry because even though they both positively glow, I’m petrified that they might slip and fall.  Let’s do an inform poll.  If you were a celebrity, would you wear high heels on the red carpet while pregnant?

Update:  After party Azzaro dress change after the jump.  She also changed into more pregnancy friendly shoes -  flats!

I would probably wear them on the red carpet, you can change later :)
I´ve worn heels for as long as could now that I´m expecting my first baby, but now my hips don´t allow it…

Yes I would wear heels, but I'd make sure to have a strong, watchful man on each arm just in case! ;)

I'm comfortable in heels, but also a bit of a klutz from time to time. My balance was hell the last 2 months of pregnancy, so it was Teva's for me. I also stretched out all of my tennies during my 1st pregnancy, so I had to donate all of my old shoes when my feet grew a whole shoe-size. But, kudos to women who can manage it without physical disaster.

I remember thinking, "The hair is gone, the body is gone, but by damn I WILL wear great shoes." Yep I wore them.

As long as I could walk in them without tripping or being off-balance, I'd wear the heels. Fabulous is fabulous, right?
