Gwyneth Paltrow’s Gladiator Sandals
Posted on May 2nd, 2008 by jitterbugbaby under Celebrity Shoe Style, Endless, Giuseppe Zanotti Shoes, SandalsI think I’m the only one in the world left who actively likes Gwyneth Paltrow. And dagnabbit, I like her sense of style, too! Not always the most flattering, this is true, but she shops outside the lines, and in a way that I usually think looks great on her. So, seeing her out and about for her Iron Man publicity tour has been fun for me. And boy, has she been parading the insanely high heels lately!
But the pair that grabbed my fancy has much more to do with the gladiator sandal trend.
Because how can you not love these Giuseppe Zanotti shiny gold sandals?

If you have the cash and want to shell out for these pretty puppies, a very similar (though not identical, despite what other sites seem to say) version is available at Endless for $650.

Why yes, actually I do like the shoes. However, such is not the reason for this post. I’m here to respond to the first line, and although it’s none of my business, that has never stopped me in the past. Just, being a man (despite my chosen moniker) who has been head-over-heels in love with Gwyneth for the last eight years; and seeing, during that period of time, the amount of scorn heaped upon her for no reason beyond the inherent insecurity of the huddled masses, occasionally I like to reach out to a fellow admirer with the assurance that said admirer is far from alone.

Hooray. Happy to encounter another Gwyneth lover. I just think she’s managed to stay rather down to earth about her life despite being so high profile for so long. Doesn’t come across as snobbery to me in the slightest. I’m off to see Iron Man tomorrow night. Thanks for chiming in.
