Hail to the…Spring?

A few days ago, it was over 72 degrees in the air, which put a spring in my step and a twinkle in my eye, plus it gave me the courage to buy these beautiful Hego’s (not on sale, mind you!)–the perfect spring-summer flats.
Today, after 2 hours of running errands in the wintry mix explosion outside, I came home looking like a wet mop. The spring in my step was dampened to a floppy shuffle, the twinkle in my eye–dulled and frozen by the relentless hail. The only bright spot: my adorable white patent Aquatalia booties, which kept me warm and dry, and reasonably stylish.
Which made me think, what boots are there to keep a fashionista looking hip in the midst of elements? Well, there’s this Tretorn rubber boot, with a stylish wedge and contrast trim–available in red, green, black or brown for $130 on Zappos :
In case you want a shorter, brighter version, they also have this:

The Tretorn Plask Mid is available in yellow and brown for $114.
And of course, these Aquatalia tall patent boots are simply perfection:

They’re $200 on Zappos and they are the very definition of fab–in a wearable, practical style. Perfect!
I’m also liking these Celine rubber boots, for those of use who favor a high heel:

They’re currently $216 on Zappos.
Or, of course, there are these Kate Spade cuties ($154 on Zappos):

And finally:

These Kenzo boots are also an excellent choice–but beware, they’re not for those of us blessed with more developed calves. They’re $193 on Zappos.
Stay warm, dry, and fashionable wherever you are!

Oh I like these – I need a pair of rain boots… I guess when it rains like everyday in seattle you need fashionable boots, lol.

Love the Kate Spade boots! I got soaked on Friday walking through campus….definitely could have used those. I might have to invest in a pair…
