Happy Birthday Max Azria!

I always thought a New Years Birthday would be fun until R5buddy, who has one, said it stank. “Everyone is too hung-over or partied out from the night before that they don’t remember or care about the birthday.” She has a point.
Anyways, today is Max Azria’s 60th birthday. Here he is with his wife, Lubov on the right and a model wearing a Herve Leger bandage dress. Nearly every actress with a killer body has been seen wearing one of these dresses – after she has her coffee enema. R5Son calls them Sluttygirl dresses.
Max was born in Tunisia, then relocating to Paris then Los Angeles and launched his design line. BCBGMAXAZRIA is named for the French phrase “bon chic, bon genre,” a Parisian slang meaning “good style, good attitude”. Here are some shoes by BCBGMAXAZRIA.

Of course, my kids will have Max Azria brand awareness since he is collaborating with places like Walmart's Hannah Montana line as a savvy way to get consumers aware of his name at a very young age.

Sluttygirl, while a little too much for me to use around my girls (both are still under 10), is at least accurate on how these can look if accessorized poorly. But, I'm not sure 'Bodycon' is much better. When did the adjectives tight, form-fitting, and body-hugging go out of vogue? Sorry, obviously on a 'love the vagaries of language' bender this morning. Probably because I never got around to making those Mojitos yesterday & had a simple & sober NYE at home with kids & hubby.
