Heel-less Shoes (Again)

Seems like we’ve been talking about heel-less shoes a bunch recently.

Well, here’s proof they’re not a new idea, even if they’ve been showing up all over the place.

1950s heel-less shoe

This is a pair of shoes from the 1950s in the collection of the Fashion Museum in Bath, England.

I don’t think women in the 50s were walking in these anymore than women are today.

My friend got a pair at a mall in Odaiba, Japan 2 years ago. She says they are the most comfy high heels she’s ever owned, and they were under $40 USD. Of course now everyone brings up Lady Gaga when she wears them and it bugs her to no end (only heard of her this year), and I’ve been searching the internet for another pair as a present, with no luck. I should by 30 pairs next time I go and give them away….
