Here’s Why I Love Camper

When I shop for shoes, I’m usually looking for something that’s a little off the beaten path.  I like my shoes to be a little funky… conversation starters… the kind of shoes that get noticed on the street or spice up a neutral outfit.  That’s why I have a tendency to love Campers.  I’ve got a great pair of patchwork boots from the Twins line that always get comments from strangers.  And boy, do they fit my calves perfectly, too!

So, it doesn’t surprise me in the slightest that I’m drooling over these Twins ($139 at Zappos):

They’re still basic enough that you could wear them with a polished outfit.  Individually, they look like they’re just an interesting design on a d’Orsay flat, b when you look at them together?  What could be more perfect for spring/summer fun but a little pair of sunglasses on your shoes?!

I had the worst retail experience of my life at a Camper store. I bought my mother a pair of Campers for Mother's Day, they were one size to small so I took them back and was charged an extra $30 to exchange them because the day I bought them they happen to be on special!! Really… Who does that… I am disgusted and will never by CAMPER again!!

That is unfortunate. All it takes is one bad experience at one store not honoring a sales price to have lost a customer forever.

I am continually frustrated that the shoe industry can't get the euro/U.S. size chart right.

I am continually frustrated that the shoe industry can't get the euro/U.S. size chart right. A Euro 35 does NOT equal a U.S. size 5– it is at least a 5.5, but probably more like a 6. This is very frustrating, because I see AWESOME shoes like Campers, but my size 5 (34) puts me in the kids size range. I've tried to make a product suggestion to Camper regarding this but can't get hold of anyone.

Camper Shoes service is the worst. I ordered shoes a month ago. No delivery. Customer service is a recording, and sometimes not even a recording, and they will never call you back. Worst customer service I've ever encountered. Completetly uncaring about the customer. JPG
