HK by Heidi Klum

The Project Runway star launched her fashion line, HK by Heidi Klum, June 3rd, available exclusively through Amazon.com. They are at a $89 to $159 price point.

I am always a little suspicious of celebrities who have their own shoe lines, because they never seem to wear their own designs. (If they won’t wear them, why should I?) Gwen Stefani is an exception. Anyways, I wanted to see what Heidi has for us. Let’s take a look.
Marly $89 (below)
My reaction? I don’t see anything new, or interesting. I doubt we will see her wearing them on Project Runway. The pumps look like Steve Maddens only at a higher price point. The cork wedges look like Ash, only are fabric and synthetic and are $140. For synthetic? Let’s hope the additional styles to be shown June 15, on Endless.com are more interesting.

Bad news, everyone! Unfortunately, Matt Groening best series (you heard me) is going into that dark knight… again. Entertainment Weekly reports that Comedy Central has decided not to renew the show after the final set of 13 episodes starts airing in June

The "Leyla" shoe vs. Chinese Laundry's shoe "Whistle" looks exactly the same. And no offense to Heidi, but I wouldn't necessarily want to buy a shoe from her. I want to buy a shoe from a company who has a good reputation and that I can trust they won't fall apart or break within a couple days after I wear them. The Whistle shoe is highly popular and half the cost and very cute.

The Leyla is very similar to the Steve Madden RUSHH, I was hoping for more from HK. I agree with all other comments, nothing new.

the construction looks nothing new – and the material for the Leyla isn't nice

I know prices are crazy on shoes these days & it's difficult to get non-synthetics at the under $150 price point. But, unless you are vegan – it is possible, it just takes patience to find smaller brands that still use good materials. Also, at this price point, I'm a much bigger fan of haunting YOOX & 6pm for past-season styles with more originality & value.

I like the Leyla but agree, nothing that new here. You mention Endless.com, here's a Endless.com coupon if anyone's interested:
