Holiday Stocking Stuffers for Shoe Lovers
Posted on December 6th, 2009 by trainingheels under GeneralLike I’ve said before, I love New York drugstore Duane Reade and go there almost every day for one reason or another. They have everything a modern New York woman needs in a quick pinch, and they get new toys in every day! Here’s what I found recently — that my location has gotten new Apt 5 goodies! What do other locations have, I wonder? Might have to check the one a few blocks away from mine tomorrow as each one carries a little something different usually.
STOCKING STUFFERS: Gents, if you put these in the stockings of your lady-friends, they’ll know you’re considerate AND fashionable. Add a little Dior lipstick, if you please. If your lady is adventurous, go with Decadent Plum in a purply shade. If she’s a toe-the-liner who wears more business pumps than dominatrix spikes, go with a classic shade like Champagne Blush or Cranberry Coquette (why can’t we name shoe colors like this?).
If your lady’s been craving a new scent, stock up on a bunch of samples from a department store run that you can leave in her stocking. Include a personal, handmade coupon for whichever one she wants. That way, she’ll be able to try them from the comfort of her home, and you can buy her what she likes! Hello, Prince Charming!
Now, time to see some Holiday Stocking Stuffers for Shoe Lovers. Now say that seven times superfast.
These helpful stickies prevent you from slipping out of your heels. Unfortunately, since we don’t all get shoes perfectly cobbled to fit our feet, sizes are imprecise. Use these to help make a slightly too large shoe stick.
These go inside, to cushion the toes.
And these 3/4 insoles will work with that all over and heel pain.
More stocking stuffer suggestions in a future post. But another suggestion: Why not make the actual present under the tree a lovely pair of Louboutins or other shoes in your shoe crazy girlfriend’s size, or for a gift certificate at her favorite store, or even better, you could take her for a private shopping experience at 10022-SHOE at Saks, where she’ll shop in the VIP room. Hey, I’m hoping my gay boyfriend will do the same for me since I’m single. But one can always dream that a straight man would plan such an escape for his girlfriend, complete with decadent chocolates from their next door Chocolate Cafe.
