How to Make Summer Sandals More Comfortable
Posted on July 10th, 2010 by trainingheels under GeneralThis video is great. I especially didn’t think about cutting moleskin and putting it on the inside of sandal straps. Especially great for gladiators!
A nice cheap roll of moleskin can be bought at your local drugstore or here online.

In addition to her great tips, drinking more also helps!

V – so funny, but true. I last longer in heels if it is an evening with mixed drinks. Not enough to get sloshed, more the just shy of buzzed point where any foot aches are muted. But, it’s been awhile since I had that kind of time out (Vegas with my sisters last fall comes to mind!).

I have bought quite a few Kiwi products lately, like the ball-of-foot gel pads and such, but I find that it makes the shoes too tight with them in, so I can’t use them in most of my shoes. Maybe the “petals” brand is more low-profile. I’ll have to try them instead.

Great tips!! I never thought about using moleskin. I used moleskin all the time when I was skating in my skate boots and on my feet. I’ll be picking up some more very soon.
AEJ – I to find many of the ball-of-foot gel pads to thick. I picked up a “petal” type for my point shoes last week. If it works I’ll be getting more for my other shoes.
