Introducing Omelle Shoes
Posted on April 1st, 2009 by Shomore under Spring 2009 ShoesI’m a sucker for little details. That’s how the spring 2009 debut collection for a new shoe brand called Omelle, pronounced ähm’ elle initially caught my eye. Created by LA shoe lovers Cherise Angelle and Nicole LaFave, there’s even consideration put into the shoe box. Instead of wasted tissue paper to pad the shoes, a cute bow bag is included with every shoe purchase. Now all my luxury shoes come with their own bag to protect their shoes, but this is a simple but ingenious idea - a simple bag that carries shoes but is versatible enough to be a casual beach bag, carry groceries, or gym clothes.
Now while the bag itself is cute enough, it’s the shoes itself that make or break it for me. Happily, this is one line where I was not disappointed. Check out some of the architectural shoe designs below? The ‘Artist’ is a little reminiscent of Nicholas Kirkwood but a little more edgy, right? They are pricey, ranging from $500 and upwards but something you can’t put a pricetag on beauty. This is one collection I’ll keep my eye on.
