Jason Wu showed his collection on Friday Sept 10. I was quite impressed. So far we have seen a lot of menswear – profession-wear influence on the runway. Jason’s clothing reflected this trend. I would wear every piece. I love the colors. I love the cut and shape of the clothing. The shoes were work appropriate and didn’t seem too high. I would wear every pair, in fact, I may save up for the pumps. Let’s look at the shoes and then at some of the clothing.
Initially I resisted this platform shape. I knew the more I looked at it, the more I would like it. I love this shoe. The Platform. The heel shape. The embellishment. The toe cap. Everything.
In Gunmetal Grey (above) and Creme (below). I think I like the cream color best. We also saw black on the models.
Two colored peep toe.
Multistrap sandal. This is one I also like a lot.
I love the way he paired this bright shoe with the black dress below.
My favorite day time dress is below.
Below is the link to see his streamed show.

Which above comments remind me – Has anybody else seen Pret a Porter (Ready to Wear) with the nude runway show that is taken as a philosophical comment on fashion as a whole, and the microcosm of runways in particular. An odd little indie film from at least a dozen years ago….

AEJ It has as been that way for a long long time. I remember as a tween looking at my older sister's Vogue magazines and thinking how scandalous it was that the model's breasts showed through the shirt. This was early 1970's.

Is partial nudity the trend these days on the runway? Or has fashion always been that way?
I like the multistrap sandal but not the platform pumps so much.

April… That is what I was thinking, nothing original, but completely wearable.

The designs might not be particularly original, but I love them all the same.
