Kate Middleton’s Wedding Shoes
posted by: Shomore in Celebrity Shoe Style on April 29th, 2011
Now that we are done swooning over Kate Middleton’s stunning Alexander McQueen wedding dress, let’s envision what elegant wedding shoes Kate wore down the aisle. As TrainingHeels previously reported, Kate was shod in custom-made shoes by Alexander McQueen. The lace pattern (not shown but similiar to the above Alexander McQueen shoes) matched the lace on the wedding dress and was hand-embroidered by the Royal School of Needlework. It is said that, to make the lace, workers washed their hands every thirty minutes to keep the lace and threads pristine with the needles being renewed every three hours to keep them sharp and clean. Wow!
You can purchase shoes similar to Kate’s pair on Net-a-Porter. These lace-covered nude pumps by Alexander McQueen are 4 ½-inches high and retail for $995.
Update: Kate’s wedding ensemble is now on display at state rooms of Buckingham Palace through October 3, 2011. Although we didn’t get a good shot of Kate’s shoes during the wedding, you can now full the lacey McQueen shoes (below) in full detail for the first time. Apparently, they are around a size 7.5-8.

Amazing pieces of British artistry – both the gown and the bride! Thank you for sharing both with the world; they are worth each and every penny, every minute, every memory.

Her dress looks a little like Madonna in the breast reigon? Also noticed nothing on her wrist – no braclet, no watch, no nothing! Does she usually wear that sort of jewellery?

Where such partnerships are not legally recognized, the wedding may be a religious or symbolic ceremony designed to provide an opportunity to make the same public declarations and celebration with friends and family that any other type of wedding may afford. These are often referred to as "commitment ceremonies."

I truly think kates dress was plain. even with the rules she had to follow(no showing arm's skin) she could of had a much more youthful, romantic gown. PERSONALLY ,her dress did not wow me at all. thats my opion.

I have been searching everywhere to see these shose she did not wear flat if you look at the video of her getting out of the car you can see the heel and the tip of her shoes. I have sent a request to Alexander McQueen for a picyure of the shoes.

We haven't been able to find 'proof' in the form of photos, since the dress was floor length. So, as the post notes, these are close according to descriptions that have been released on the shoes. And, since these are McQueen shoes under the hand of Sarah Burton, they are as close as you are likely to find in a non-custom shoe.
Also reported in essentially the same manner (& the same shoe) by Hollywood Reporter: http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/kate-middle…

Is there any proof that she wore this type shoe? There are no photos of her shoes on her wedding day…
