Lanvin for H&M

posted by: Shomore in Lanvin Shoes on November 3rd, 2010

Mark your calendar, ladies!  On November 23rd,  Lanvin’s exclusive collection for H&M will arrives in stores.  Of the 48 pieces in the womenswear line,  four are shoes.  If you think that piece no. 33 and no 34 looks familiar, you only have to refer back to the Lanvin’s spring 2009 collection to see the sequin heel that inspired this pump, only the price tag is now $99 instead of in the mid three digits.  And while I was a bit disappointed not to see any ballet flats,  I was pleased to see there are several drool worthy dresses that are identifiably the work of Lanvin.

For those of you interested in seeing the full womenswear Lanvin for H&M line, including the price sheet, we’ve uploaded the line to our Facebook page.

There are absolutely wonderful dresses in this collection, and I'm going to try and get my hands on one! However, the shoes are a bit of a disappointment, as they lack the elegance of the originals.

Are these designed by Alber Elbaz? If so, this is going to be great!

Anna, yes they are Alber's creation. Here's a quote from his re the H&M collection: “H&M approached us to collaborate, and see if we could translate the dream we created at Lanvin to a wider audience, not just a dress for less. I have said in the past that I would never do a mass-market collection, but what intrigued me was the idea of H&M going luxury rather than Lanvin going public. This has been an exceptional exercise, where two companies at opposite poles can work together because we share the same philosophy of bringing joy and beauty to men and women around the world.”
