Dolce & Gabbana Lace Ankle Boots

So okay, my boot fetish is still going strong. It’s really not my fault. I mean, if we’re going to blame anyone, we ought to blame Dolce & Gabbana, and the things the brand does with lace. Seriously, look at these Lace Ankle Boots ($520.99 at Saks). Can you really blame me? They’re so adorable, so dainty, so sleek, so chic!

FYI and by the bye, they are also on sale. Saks has tons of shoes on sale, as a matter of fact, and these boots just happen to be down from $745, so if it’s your pleasure, you can save over two hundred dollars on these right now. That’s crazy awesome.

There’s something so decadent and dramatic about the full coverage of lace on these boots. Lace is so feminine, as it is here, yet the boot is powerful as well, not to mention oozing a subtle kind of sex appeal.

What’s really cool is that the boots are peep-toes – but you can’t tell, because the open toe is covered with lace as well. Innovative, right? Dolce & Gabbana, baby, one of a kind ’til the end.

The backing features exquisite grosgrain detailing, there’s a side zipper, and the lace – a mixture of cotton, rayon, and poly fabric – actually cover a luxurious goatskin. The heel, also covered in grosgrain, is 5 inches, or 125 millimeters, and the boot’s hidden platform measure half an inch, or 15 millimeters.

How do you feel about so much lace? I know I love it, but sometimes it can be too much, depending on taste. What’s your take on it?
