mad about Moschino

Every time I start browsing through Zappos (an excellent if potentially dangerous way to kill time and stall if you’re ever trying to put something off), my eye is always caught by the Moschino shoes. It’s not even that I go looking for them specifically, but often when I see a pair I like, I check the name and see that yes indeed, they’re by Moschino.

No matter which line of Moschino shoes, they always seem to have the right balance of fun and style for me. They’re not too girly or too clunky or too bound by current shoe trends or really too anything (except sometimes too high for me to wear or too expensive for me to afford). The polka dot linings satisfy my love of hidden shoe detailing and the styles that are always a basic shoe model with something slightly unique about it… ooo… I’m in love.

I mean, what’s not to love about these slightly retro asymmetrical d’Orsay’s?

or these patent-leather trimmed kitten heels?

And check out these glam silver metallic heels with the gathered leather trim. Delicious!

These thong sandals with the cherry tassles were so adorable that I once literally stopped someone on the street to ask where she’d bought them.

Of course, they do go too far for my taste sometimes. I’m not looking to show up to anything in glitter cowboy boots

But hey, everyone’s allowed some missteps, and taste is subjective anyway. So if you’re jonesing for some gold glittery cowboy boots and have $400 to drop on them, these just might be perfect for you.

Completely share your feelings about Moschino. When they're cute, they're like cherry chiffon icecream, with a dollop of whipped cream on top. Irresistible on a light spring day when you feel like splurging.
