Manolo Meets Marimekko

I must say I’m very excited about the news that Manolo Blahnik’s Spring/Summer 08 collection will include some shoes with Marimekko patterns.

While I can’t say I’m much of a fan of Marimekko’s clothing, I think their graphic patterns are great. Fun, fresh, flirty, fantastic. And combine them with Manolo’s shoe designing power… it’s a combo that’s hard to beat.

You don’t see too many shoes with that much coloring/graphics that look good. These Manolo’s are the exception. I love the red and white pair shown above and need to add those shoes to my inventory. They look like they would be fun to wear. I hope they are as comfortable as they look too.

Hm… Call me retarded, but I think that that's a shame for Marimekko and finish design.
