Marc by Marc Jacobs: Shoes In-Store

Took a little stroll through the West Village with my best girlfriends. Bleecker Street is the posh, calm place for upscale shopping, whether it’s cheese or Intermix. At Marc Jacobs, we scooted our way past all the ridiculous/fun/silly/cheesy keychain, umbrella and condom offerings emblazoned with MJ’s name so we could take a look at the shoe offerings.
Surprised to say, I was really pleased by what I saw. Though I couldn’t take photos, this is one of the shoes I considered. The MBMJ Ruffle Platform Clog is $330.
My besties, meanwhile, liked this lace-up boot, the MBMJ Rivet Platform Booties for $395. I wasn’t hugely fond of how high the upper comes on your ankle, but it seemed very well-made. Both pairs of shoes were very soft to the touch.
I don’t have any clogs yet, but I’m seriously thinking of investing. They’re classic. I will definitely jeep them out with comfy strips by Pedag, Hollywood or Foot Petals to help out with the heaviness.

love Marc Jacobs, I can tell we are going to see a lot more clogs over AW and I think a knee high clog slouch boot with sheep skin with straps and chunky buckles would be gorgeous – might design some myself come to think of it!
