Mighty Wedges and Platforms at Michael Kors

The shoes for last week’s Michael Kors Spring 2009 collection were anything but shy. Platforms and wedges in true 1970′s chunky fashion were power-walking down the catwalk.
These lifted sandals have a physical presence that is forceful, to say the least. The semi-architectural, cut-away wedge is great for the Funky Fashionista who is channeling her inner Flower Child.
I am not particularly a fan of these shoes; Of course, at my less-than-imposing 5′-2″ any one of these sandals would probably make me look like a toddler raiding her Mommy’s wardrobe. However, for taller gals as well as for Glamazonian types who like a bit of Hippie style, these could be just the thing to complete a Boho-chic outfit.

These were from the Spring 2009 runway collection, but I'm not certain if they made all of the styles for retail. You may be able to check overstock or auction sites since we are a year after their likely release.

Michael Kors the idea is great ! The sandals and the cut-wedge is very impressing and the design is also (chunky fashion )good but i think that these kind of shoes did not pull the weight if it can , then i give you 10 out of 10.
