Miu Miu Harlequin Pump

posted by: shoesense in Prada & MiuMiu Shoes on March 24th, 2008

We’ve been asked about the gorgeous pump featured in the post about shoes being the “IT” fashion item of our times. Helpful commenter Heids points out it’s available on the Neiman Marcus website–and yes, there it is:

It’s the Miu Miu cutout harlequin bootie, and it’s (gulp) $890. Check out the back and heel detail, too:

You won’t be seeing me wearing these any time soon, but perhaps a lovestruck reader with generous pockets will enjoy them. And she should: they’re positively gorgeous.

I absolutely adore these heels too, but the pump featured in the NY article has a different heel, and I actually like that one better than the heel with crystals.

Maybe the other harlequin pump is not from Miu Miu, but I'd doubt it.

By the way, I'm from Germany and I totally love your blog!!!

Put these on my NM 'wish list' a few weeks ago. Sigh. I'll likely never pay that much for any shoes. But, I do like to go & watch how pretty they are. Lovely decadent things. If I get a chance to swing into Portland or Seattle, I'll have to try them on, though.

As for black, I do have other colors, particularly blue & greens, but if I got rid of my black, I'd have a heck of a time finding a pair of pants or a coat left to wear in my closet.

How refreshing and nice to hear of someone who doesn't wear black. There are legions out there who wear nothing but, and plenty of people like me who have healthy doses of black in their wardrobes, but it's rare to hear of an "Impressionist of Fashion" who eschews the color altogether. Congrats.

I'd love to wear them, but $890 is a little steep, and I don't wear any black. Le sigh.

If I happen to see them on sale in a different colorway, though…they might accidentally end up on my feet.
