Miu Miu drives me crazy. I don’t mean that in a bad way, I mean that I keep running across Miu Miu shoes that I want to buy, so I end up with this wish list that stretches down my driveway and across the street. These exquisite Patent Mid Heel Zip Back Booties with Bow Detail ($580 at Neiman Marcus) are the newest items on my list of must-have acquisitions.
These boots are so smart looking, like you know they would look good with a suit, a pencil skirt, pinstriped slacks, or just the right little black dress. The patent leather, with its lovely sheen, gives them a little bit of an edge, because it causes an even edgier, more pronounced contrast with the white trim.
I love the cut out on the vamp, as well, along with the peep toe – there’s nothing wrong with your shoes showing a little skin as well! I do have to say that there is one thing I don’t like. While normally I think back zips are cuter than cute, the back zip on these boots are a really brash gold tone. I just don’t think it works with these shoes. Here, take a look at the back at them and let me know what you think:
Am I being too picky? I just think silver would look better on these. I mean, yeah, I have an affinity for silver over gold, but my preferences notwithstanding, I just don’t think that looks right. How about you?
