Oh, my–shoeblogging is becoming more professionalized every day. The someone in the know I’m referring to is Anthony Cady, professor of footwear design at The Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City, who has just started a blog for Shuzsociety. The premise of the blog is very interesting: “Cady will profile women on the streets of New York and chronicle the stories their shoes tell about them.” So far, the blog is more descriptive (e.g., type, brand, color, detail of shoes, etc.) and less introspective as promised, but these are just the warm-up stages.

Cady is one of us, ladies–in the sense that he’s as enamored with shoes as we are. The press release reveals that he has more than 100 pairs of shoes (more than his wife). He’s a shoe designer, maker, and collector. Who better to understand our pressing needs and urges, or our little shoe buying benders? You can read his blog here.
