Neiman Marcus Sale Alert

Dear old Neiman’s has an extra surprise with a cherry on top for us: 25% off already reduced prices. Of course, when you deal with brand names like Louboutin or Blahnik or Prada, this means you’re still hovering in the $300+ category, so yeah… But still, it’s worth checking out! Personally, if I had to choose just one item…ok, impossible, let me rephrase: if I had to choose one item for two scenarios, 1) money is no object; 2) realistic budget, I guess I’d go with the Michael Kors python “bib” sandal for the former, and probably a Cynthia Vincent number for the latter:

Michael Kors Beach python thong sandal in flamingo-lime. It started out at about $600, but with all the reductions and extra sale, it’s going to come down to about $312–out of my range, but still deeply coveted. I love the colors, the exotic material (very “in” these days, of course), and that it perfectly illustrates this summer’s trend, which I dubbed “bib-sandal.”

For a more realistic budget, however, I’m eyeing these Cynthia Vincent colorblock sandals:

How cute are those, right? They started at about $250 and with all the savings, they’ll come down to $131 (don’t forget free shipping at any price with code SHOPNM for a extra dash of sweetness in your deal). These sandals are still $240 at Endless, so take note!

Happy bargain shopping, shoe lovers!

I picked up way to much during the flurry of designer & clearance sales a few weeks ago. I really need to maintain willpower, otherwise I really willbe the little old lady who lives in her shoes. Still gotta eat & pay the mortgage. On a comforting note, more lovely styles will be available when I let myself off 'ban'. There will always be more shoes, just not sure how the dollar's gonna treat me this time next year. Rising prices are bad enough, but women switching from handbags to shoes as a luxury good combined with a weakening US dollar ain't likely to improve pirces anytime soon. Anyone know of any luxury shoes produced in the US? Maybe that's an opportunity ready for an industrious individual.

    Oops, again, I ramble.
