Nicholas Kirkwood Taupe Suede Platform Bootie

I’ve professed my love for Pierre Hardy, but in reality, he takes second prize for me — Nicholas Kirkwood is by far my favorite designer. He’s avant-garde, artful and intelligent in the way he designs.

How he can make such a statement with such subtle quirks is amazing. This shoe, for instance, is not splashy. And yet it is easily the attention-getter in a room full of Manolos, Louboutins and even Hardys.

The detailing on the vamp is just exquisite, and the sole and heel are so unique. Love it, despite the height perhaps being too much for me.

These shoes are truly gorgeous. It's almost like looking at a pool of water The brown color is reflective.

As usual, I'm mad because there is no way I can walk in those heels. I'm going to check out some other Nicholas Kirkwood designs. Thanks!

Kirkwoods truly are stunning. I know I blaspheme, but give me Kirkwood over CL's any day.
