Pierre Hardy Channels Superman’s Fortress of Solitude

We all know that basically everything Pierre Hardy does is, at its most minimal stage, very, very cool.
I’ve got the scoop on the Summer 2011 collection for you, kiddies. Much of it will arrive in the next couple weeks in New York!
This Skyline shoe is the best of the crop… and is it just me, or does it NOT look like Superman’s dad’s Fortress of Solitude? Tell me I am not stretching here! I swear, it does!
It’s a limited edition, only for New York and Paris, retails at $1540, and arrives in about a week at boutiques. There is also a subtler version, without the “skyline” at the top, which will retail for around $1k.
Purchase his summer collection at his Jane Street store in the West Village or at one of the two Paris Boutiques.
This man is a genius, because he’s able to come up with a vision and actually enact its craziness. Purchasing this shoe, in my opinion, is merely an act of art stewardship and public good.
