Prada Spring 2010 Shoes
posted by: Shomore in Fashion Week, Prada & MiuMiu Shoes, spring 2010 shoes on September 25th, 2009
Continuing on the see-through theme we saw with Christian Louboutin for Marchesa, Prada’s Spring collection was equally transparent, but not in a good way. The chandelier-ish skirt was bearable, but the naked handbag didn’t work for Chanel and Prada still wasn’t able to make it work for me in 2010.
As for the shoes, I’m not a fan of clear PVC footwear. Shoes need to breath. So not only are these Prada shoes pretty ugly, but they are pretty impractical and surely aren’t worth the hefty pricetag they will carry.

Got my pair yesterday. They are stunning, breathable, comfortable (lighly padded sole) and the velcro has been minimized and replaced with snap buttons. But they are loud. I mean LOUD. I scared my cat just walking back and forth between the living room and dining room.

I like the style of some of the shoes, but PVC seems very unpractical…

You can't completely get rid of the possible sweaty feet issue. Unless they have pinhole vents, vinyl doesn't breathe the way leather or fabrics do. But, you could try some anti-fog spray like they make for scuba masks & at least then you wouldn't get foggy condensation on the shoe? It's something to consider.

I loved Prada last spring. These, however remind me waaay too much of the chandelier-drop table lamps and beaded doorway curtains I saw in my childhood.
So….Not workin' for me. Good to know my budget is safe so far next spring.

I hate plastic shoes since my feet get always wet. And I agree, they are ugly.
