Pura López

Pura López from Spain has been making a big splash lately. These pink pretties below were featured at New York Fashion Week in the exhibition area and I appreciate their unapologetic pink Hollywood femmeness. I feel like they’re what Barbie would wear after she moved to New York and toned it down a bit.
Pura is not as widely available in the U.S. as many of us would like, but there’s a trick I like to use if I’m really craving a foreign shoe not well distributed in the States yet. That trick and your opportunity to tell us your tricks for finding foreign shoes after the jump.
I check UK and European sites. Also, using the British ShopStyle site is also a good way to go, as it will conglomerate everything on that side of the pond for you. Lastly, I’d keep an eye on Spanish and British fashion magazines, as you’ll probably start seeing them pop up there more and more. And if I’m really desperate, I’ll call DSW’s corporate office and ask for a buyer who might know something! Or I’ll call the corporate headquarters for the shoe company itself.
This uberhip black wedge is my other favorite of theirs currently. I can see it on the shelves of Opening Ceremony, Seven or Oak any day. Love it!
You can find a similar shoe, a fun blue suede t-strap wedge, online for purchase.
