Purple YSL platforms for the Friday night

Not that I could ever wear such things–4 inch platforms would be an invitation to either disaster or to gluing my posterior to a chair at best for the whole evening–but behold, they are stunning in just about any possible way:
The epitome of fabulousness, indeed, from Yves Saint Laurent, who has fared rather well with his platforms lately. This purple goodness costs about a bajillion dollars (well, close–$700).
