Rachel McAdams in Christian Louboutin Pigalle
Posted on August 13th, 2009 by r5bales under Christian Louboutin Shoes, GeneralI think Rachel McAdams is cute. She is promoting a romance movie with Eric Bana. He is cute too. Real Cute. Anyways, Rachel arrived at the premier of this movie wearing a pair of Christian Louboutin Pigalle pumps.
When I saw these shoes on the web site I thought they were nice.
In fact I had been thinking about using my piggy bank money to buy them. However, when I see them on Rachel, I am not so sure. I don’t like the amount of toe cleavage that shows. When she walks it looks like her pinkie toe is trying to come out.
I typically don’t mind toe clevage, but this is a little too much for me. Cross one more shoe off my lust list.

Or she might just have an extra long big toe?
August 13th, 2009 at 6:04 pm
The Pigalles Rachel is wearing have a much higher heel (the 120mm) whereas the ones on the website are only 100mm and fit differently. Of course, fit also depends on the shape of your feet - I did not have any toe problems with either height heel.

ALLY, Would the heel height make a difference at how the toes show? I was wondering about that.
You mention the shape of the foot. My friend has what she laughingly calls “Fred Flintstone Feet”. Her toes are all the same length. They are probably the worst feet I have ever seen.

r5bales, I can’t even imagine what your friend’s feet might look like if all her toes are the same length…

This is another reason why I will have to not only fall in love with a Louboutin before I finally buy one, but also try it on. He does love showing toe cleavage, but there is a point where too much just looks silly to me, KWIM?

They don’t look attractive on her. I absolutely hate toe cleavage. And thank you, now I have a term for them.

I must agree this shoe has a great cut and detail but the toe cleavage looks as if she is trying to keep the shoes from flying off.

r5bales,
The heel height alters the way your foot sits in the shoe, so depending on your feet, toe cleavage may be different. LOL at Fred Flintstone feet!

I was perusing Nordstrom’s online today and ran across this shoe in blue satin Martinez Valero ‘Zenith’ Pump http://shop.nordstrom.com/S/3035223/0~2376778~6017238?mediumthumbnail=Y&origin=category&searchtype=&pbo=6017238&P=2 doesn’t it look exactly like the one that Carrie from Sex and the City wears by Manolo Blahnik? You should do a little comparison of the two!

I agree with you - too much toe cleavage!! They look too small for her feet.
August 18th, 2009 at 9:05 pm
I agree with you. Perhaps as shoe hunting suggests, these are too small for her? I have tried CL shoes with same issues.

alamode - I don’t think it’s about being uptight - more a matter of aesthetics. There is a point where the shoe looks like it is about to fall off or doesn’t fit properly. Maybe it’s intentional with this shoe, but this much to cleavage throws off the balance to me …. but different folks have different tastes, so that’s why we have 1000’s of shoe styles to choose from to make us all happy.
