Shoe Advertising in Japan

One of the things I kept snapping pictures of was the advertising in Japan.

Whether it was Western stars shilling for Japanese products (like Tommy Lee Jones looking spaced out for Boss coffee or Orlando Bloom playing at being scruffy for Uno Fiber Neo hair care products)

or Japanese ads for international brands like Prada, I was drawn in.

But I have to say that of all the ads I snapped pics of throughout my trip, my very favorite was this one in a train station for Ingni, a Japanese fashion brand.

I mean, just LOOK at those shoes!!

Are they not pretty much fantastic?  No, for sure not from a wearable perspective, but that cut-out heel with its little floral/wave design?  And the retro color combination?  And the ankle t-strap styling?

If all I had to do was lie around on the floor all day like that model, I’d for sure do it in these shoes.

Tell me about it. Just wait until I get to posting my pictures of shoes on the streets of Japan. This one would have been in good company. I don't know how they do it.

The Japanese are very different then we are when it comes to fashion. Yes, I've seen them wear platforms like that and higher just walking down the street. If u go to the right places you'll see.
