With the release of the luxury brand filled SATC movie, I realize a lot of my shoe posts have been designer related. Based off these recent posts, the newbie ShoeBlog reader may easily assume that I skew towards the upper shoe brands and am a bit of a shoe snob. The reality is that I am the lover of most shoes and do not discriminate between the Italian brands which cost a whole paycheck versus the shoes which are the price of a meal out. My criteria are usually quite simple – I would like quality, good looking, and comfortable shoes that don’t require a downpayment. (Of course, I have been known to stray if the shoe is particularly lovely even if impractical. Or maybe they aren’t as comfy as I’d like but the price was just too irresistible).
This brings me to my pick for shoe deal of the day. These Teva Ryley shoes (available in walnut or sandstone color) were originally priced at $70 but are currently on sale for only $14.99! With the price of gas creeping towards the $5 / gallon mark, the Ryley might be a good pair of walking shoes for someone who’s been feeling pain at the pump and wants to start walking more often.
The added bonus of these shoes is that they are part of Teva’s Curbside collection where the shoes are made from recycled material. Eco-conscious. Check.
