Shoe Deal of the Day.

Do you remember the July post on Oh Deer! and the kissing cousins’ resemblance to a Christian LaCroix shoe?

Well, if you liked the style, several playful color and print variants have hit solid clearance prices that are much lower than the beginning retail of $120-$150 on these Oh Deer! styles:

First, the sequined ‘Gelato’ ($74.52  6pm.com/$79.95 Solestruck.com); the definite Disco Diva of this cut.

Next up is the ‘PB&J’ in Natural or Black ($69.27 Endless.com-black only/$67.50 6pm.com/$37.79 for select size-color combinations through Amazon.com Marketplace). A fairly cute and close representation of the original LaCroix.

Yes, there’s more; the ‘Marshmallow’ in White Cheetah ($84.38 6pm.com / $37.99 in select sizes at Amazon Marketplace). With the animal print, this one’s definitely more apt to be noticed than the PB&J. This is also made as a Flat - the ‘Fluff’, which is not on sale at this time.

Finally, there’s the ‘Rootbeer’ ($67.50 6pm.com / $37.99 in select sizes in this print only at Amazon Marketplace). With that red heel and patent leopard upper, this is ready for a night on the town.

Unfortunately, this still leaves me lusting after the one other color combination that has not managed to go on sale: The ‘Rootbeer‘ in black and white stripes. I am enraptured by this shoe. Unfortunately, Zappos.com has the lowest current price on this at $120.60. OUCH.

Wow, sorry to hear that. I have luckily never had a problem. I did work at a warehouse several years ago & this sounds like a stocking/location mistake. That can be hard to identify until something like a string of errors like you encountered occur which cause a physical re-check of computer stock. Luckily, even in large warehouses this is rare for most companies. If things like this happen, some companies have 'hand-picks' that you can arrange so that you can work 'ouside' the normal computer system. I know that JCP catalog had this as an option with their Customer Service Agents (which were different than order operators).

Beware of Piperlime! I ordered one pair of shoes from Piperlime and received the wrong size on three different occasions. They eventually ran out of stock and I never got my shoes! Once is a mistake, twice is an accident, and three times is a pattern. Their excuse? …"it happens."

Would really have to try them on as I am just not sure how they will look on as I am a size 10- ouch and I am not certain they will not make my feet look odd? The PB& J looks best in black.

Now I have to stalk the black and white root beer too. That heel with some I'm not really a waitress toes is a match made in heaven. The sequins at the top, however, look a bit like something you might see on Dancing with the Stars.
