Shoe Downdown: Hilary Duff or Becki Newton in Manolo’s Peep Toe Booties?

It’s been a while since we’ve done one of these so let’s have a shoe showdown. Who wore Manolo Blahnik’s slingback peep toe bootie ($755 at Bergdorf Goodman) best – Hilary Duff or Becki Newton?
And since we’re in a recession here, instead of the $755 Manolo pricetag, Michael Kors has a similiar peep toe bootie (minus slingback) for a more palatable price of $149 plus Nordstroms is currently running a promo where it ships for free.

I just got a pair of shoes that look just like them. Not as expensive but still love them. I will have to agree with the above post. Wear them right or don’t wear them at all!

This is a rant. If you going to wear heels, then learn to stand properly. I am sick to death of seeing these puffcakes wearing gorgeous shoes and standing pigeon toed.

Hillary Duff. Although Becki Newton takes a nice picture, the peep-toe is, in reality, a little severe for her cocktail dress, whereas Duff’s photo doesn’t do justice to how well the shoe’s lines and aesthetic work with her overall look. Truth be told, I actually prefer the Michael Kors’ version to the Manolo (sacrilege!).
