Shoe Purchase Report: Kaju by Giraudon boots
Posted on October 17th, 2007 by jitterbugbaby under Boots, Comfort ShoesAfter a good long hiatus from shoe-buying, I have finally succumbed once again to my addiction and not only bought a new pair of shoes, but paid full price for them. Shock and horror, I know!
But I just didn’t have the willpower to wait, and I was paranoid they’d be sold out in my size if I waited for them to go on sale. And now I have a brand new beautiful pair of Kaju by Giraudon boots in a gorgeous pewter metallic leather.
I like to think of them as my Peter Pan boots, and I’m sure you can see why:

For a while they weren’t on the Giraudon website, but now they’re up and you can buy yourself a pair here if you’re so inclined and want to shell out the $240 for them. It may be a bit on the high side, but I can’t rave enough about Giraudon shoes. They’ve got the perfect blend of classic and funky for me, and they’re crazy comfortable (plus, I can get my orthotics in this particular pair).
One word to the wise, though, about the boots. I love em, because they’re narrow enough for my small ankles and calves (circumference about 13 1/2″), but if you need wider calf widths, you’d definitely need to get these stretched.

Beautiful boots! I think I have to have a pair…The colors listed on the web site are black leather and deep sage metallic leather. Which are yours? Or is pewter metallic a different color that’s not available online?
Thanks!

I’m pretty sure mine are the “deep sage metallic leather.” The picture on the site looks like the color of my boots, and there’s a slightly gold/green tinge to the metallic.
