Shoe Showdown: Christian Louboutin Bridget and Bridget Strass
Posted on September 23rd, 2009 by Shomore under Celebrity Shoe Style, Christian Louboutin ShoesFall has barely begun but I have a feeling we’ll be seeing more from Christian Louboutin’s von Bridget family.
Scarlett Johannsen, Leelee Sobieski (yes, she’s pregnant), Sarah Jessica Parker on the set of SATC 2, Jennifer Lopez, and Khloe Kardashian have all been seen wearing Christian Louboutin’s Bridget and its sibling, the Bridget Strass. On Louboutin’s official website, the caption next to the shoe reads “Bridget was that girl at school who had everything, this is her shoe”.
Which of these looks were your favorite?

- Spring 2010 Christian Louboutin Heels for Marchesa
- 2007 MTV Movie Awards looks like a Christian Louboutin Fashion Show
- Jessica Alba: I really love my ballerina flats (new shoe column)
- How much is Louboutin’s ‘Trash’ worth?
- Red, white, and gingham shoes
- Bluefly’s 10 hour Louboutin Shoe Sale

I really enjoy Louboutin but I do not like either of these shoes. But Leelee looks best in this set of pics.

I don’t know how I feel about this shoe yet - but that newsprint dress is amazing.

I am thinking/hoping they are going to replace the YSL tribute platform as the celebrity stylist’s favorite shoe.

I am going to go with Sarah Jessica Parker. I love her creative style. I can say I have never seen a newspaper dress. The combination of the amazing shoes and unique dress make this look my favorite!

Personally, I love pairing basic solid colors with wilder shoes, mostly because I like my shoes to pop, but in this case Sarah Jessica makes it work.
P.S I LOVE the Bridget Strass Pumps the best, but the others are quite gorgeous, as well.

I’m not crazy about these shoes either…and I love leopard and lace. But I think Scarlett and Khloe wear them the best…they def fit Khloes style and personality the most.

[...] similar to the Louboutin’s Bridget and Bridget Strass shoe, which most of you liked seeing on Sarah Jessica Parker in a scene from SATC 2, the most. The mesh bootie shows how curled up these model’s toes were. I would pity her except [...]

Is the Bridget w leopard heel worth it? Will it still be hot 10-20 years from now? $1795 is a lot for shoes. But I can’t stop thinking about them.

Will you still be regretting not making the purchase for years to come…the “Non-buyers regret”. For me, it was a 15-year quest for the perfect goggle-style sunglasses when I missed them in the late 80’s. I wear the vintage pair I found on ebay daily. Everybody deserves an occasional small luxury - It’s just best if you can do it without incurring actual debt to do so. But, your splurge needs to be the right one for you & your budget. For me, I can get a custom boot for $2000, so I would rather spend the $$$ that way … but, are these a true ‘holy grail’ item for you & not a short-term crush? One where you KNOW you will still be in love with them for 1 - 3- 10 years from now? If so, these may be worth the one-time splurge. Who knows, if you get lucky or watch the last-call sales, you might be able to get it for enough off retail to buy them without feelings of guilt. Good luck.

Do you think these may actually go on sale? Thank you for the advice. If I decide to get them, I will be content for a very long time. I will be happy not buying another pair of CL’s for a very long time. Decisions, decisions!!!
