Shoe Showdown: Christian Louboutin Clou Noeud 150 Studs
posted by: Shomore in Celebrity Shoe Style, Christian Louboutin Shoes, Shoe Showdown on July 2nd, 2010
This installment of our ‘Shoe Showdown’ faceoff concerns a shoe with a feminine silhouette coupled with edgy studs. The Christian Louboutin Clou Noeud 150 Studded slingbacks has been worn by so many celebrities, I’ve honestly lost track. Instead, I’ve narrowed it down to my top 3 picks, which would be between Dakota Fanning, Kim Kardashian, and Heidi Klum. Do tell, who gets your vote in this Louboutin showdown and why.
My vote after the jump….
And Shomore’s (that’s me) winner goes to Dakota Fanning. While nothing ever looks bad on supermodel Heidi Klum, the bar has been set high for her. She looks great, yet I wasn’t instantly wowed. Kim Kardashian has real woman curves that make me jealous but I’ve never been a huge fan of white dresses unless there’s an altar involved. Dakota, though, looks so age-appropriate and vampirishly delicious in his nude dress with Louboutin Clou Noeud pumps.
The black version of the Christian Louboutin Clou Noeud 150 Studded slingbacks are available at Net-A-Porter for $1195.

aahhhh i love studs! on shoes, bags and furniture. while all 3 ladies rock those shoes, i like kim k's emsemble. the shoes are so amazing that the dress she chose is the perfect compliment (and doesn't necessarily compete with the shoes)

I'm still trying to decide if I like the excessive 'pokeypine' styles. But, the beige is a more subtle variation than the black. It's a little less expected and not quite as overdone at the moment as the black.

Really, do I need to comment on the use of silver studs? Probably not. Galligator knows what I'm thinking!

I had seen the black version and wasn't bowled over. But the beige are stunners! They have the contrariety of the classic beige colour and studs, which make it much more appealing to me whereas black seems more expected. I agree with you, I think Dakota Fanning stands out as having worn them best. The matching dress with its frills is a lovely milieu for the tough looking studs, and the whole look is age appropriate as well as enhancing her figure. I think Heidi's dress is too much for shoes as elaborate as these (I think a simpler shoe would have worked much better), and while Kim's curves look ravishing in that body-con dress, but I just don't care for the look of white with the beige shoes.

These are awesome. They're feminine but they have that edge. I think Kim looks really great in them. They pop just enough from her white dress.

Dakota gets my vote. The hair, dress, and shoes, all in monotone, makes her appear taller and slender. The shoes 'fit' well with the whole picture. They don't over power. Maybe it's the angle of the photo, but I can't get past Heidi's big head to look at her feet. Again, like Dakota, the shoes on Kim's feet go with her look.
