Shoe Statistics

So I picked up my August InStyle magazine and started ripping out those annoying inserts. Before I threw them away, I actually looked at one. It had some interesting statistics printed on it. Heels made more than $5billion last year. It will be interesting to see this year’s numbers.
Here is the breakdown by inches.
Just looking at the breakdown, the money seems to be spread fairly evenly across the board because there is no spike in the sales numbers. I guess this shows that we don’t spend our money on just one heel height. A look at my closet would indicate the same thing.
Five Billion spent on heels. Mind boggling.
The heels shown are:
1/2 inch skimmer: Peter Kaiser Veneta $142 at Zappos

2 inch: Cole Haan Fiona Low Air Pump $164 at Zappos

I just picked up the Sept issues of InStyle and Vogue. Haven't read them yet.
