Steve Madden Turnpyke

Kind of in love with this shoe.
What is not to like? The cherry tomato orange-red color. The criss-crossed AND interwoven strappage on the vamp. The fact that it’s pretty much all straps on top. The buckled adjustable slingback that’s rather thick and supportive. The rich colors of cognac and light tan. The subtle, classy silver accents.
Frankly, this shoe looks like it could’ve been made by one the top designers and sold for a lot, lot more on Fifth Ave.
The Steve Madden Turnpyke, in multiple colors, $89.95 at SteveMadden.com

Steve Madden actually is a brand that fits my feet very well. For a lot of people, the $90-$300 for a SM shoe is as much as they are willing to pay for shoes (unlike some of us advanced shoes-fiends). But, this color would never work for me. it makes me sad that higher-prices 'low-end' shoes now can cost as much as Blahnik's did 6 years ago. *sigh*

Cute but honestly I have not found a Steve Madden shoe that liked my feet. They are usually pretty uncomfrtable shoes!!

The only Steve Madden shoes I've found that were worth more than the asking price were the Singsing ankle boots. They're both cool-looking and super comfortable . . . unlike all the other SM shoes I've tried.
