Everybody’s been talking about these blue Manolos last seen in SATC–the movie. Now you can buy the “Something Blue” pump at Neiman’s for $895. This shoe is divinely beautiful, and, taking a clue from its name, I’d say it would be perfect for a bride. It would fulfill the “Something blue” as well as the “Something gorgeous” requirement in one fell swoop!

We’ve seen pictures of Carrie Bradshaw wearing the Dior Extreme gladiator sandals (left) and the python heeled Proenza Schouler (right, available at Net-A-Porter for $685) in the SATC movie (btw, are you as excited as I am that it’s almost Friday? ).

But what happened to some of her favorite shoe brands? Never fear, Carrie stays ‘Choo’ to those shoe brands as well.
For a SATC Movie ad, Sarah Jessica Parker is wearing the seven strapped Jimmy Choo Atlas sandals, $750 at NetAPorter .

Remember the episode called ‘A Woman’s Right to Shoes‘? It’s the SATC episode where Carrie was asked to remove these silver Manolos while attending a baby shower. At the end of the party, she’s shocked to discover the shoes were stolen.

They were the Manolo Sedarbys and the style is making a reappearance in the movie in the form of the Manolo Blahnik Sedarby Zebra d’Orsays. It’s a real sticker shock if you recall that the shoes on the show were going for $485 and that Neiman Marcus was selling the zebra version for $675 AND they are already sold out.

I don’t think it was a coincidence that Melania Trump was seen wearing the same Manolos at the NY Sex in the City Premiere.

Update: Ms. Meghan is reporting that these blue Manolo Blahniks with huge silver buckle have a central role in the movie. They also happen to be the first shoes that Manolo made expressly for SATC.

Remember how we mentioned that Patricia Field, the costume designer for SATC, really loves Dior’s Extreme shoes? Well, here’s further proof:
Exhibit A: In a (dream?) sequence in the SATC movie, Carrie is pairing her Vivienne Westwood wedding dress with champagne colored Dior Extremes. I’ve seen many styles of shoes on brides, but gladiator platforms would be a first.

Exhibit B: At a SATC premiere, Patricia Field (right) with Vivienne Westwood (left) was also seen in those black Diors.

Or should I say Patricia Field, the costume designer for SATC, really loves Dior’s Extreme shoes since she’s the one that dressed the character Carrie Bradshaw?
ET Online reported that Sarah Jessica Parker went through 81 wardrobe changes for the SATC movie. If you count the 4 shots below, Sarah Jessica Parker wore the Dior shoes a whopping 5% of the time so I would say this falls in the ‘I really love my shoes’ category for this blog. According to Marene Gustin from ShoeTube everyone is also in love with the peeptoe Dior Extreme gladiator platforms. When she called the local Dior boutique, she got a response of
“Yeah, you’re like the 1,900th person to call about those. They don’t make them anymore and not even the outlets have them.”
Ouch. Luckily, for you fashionistas out there, we’ve spotted the line for you. The Dior Extremes are now available in select sizes at Eluxury for $770. I’m seriously thinking of getting a pair if only to collect them and help me reminiscent about SATC. For those on a more shoestring budget, the knock off pair can be found at ASOS for £55.00. I suspect both Eluxury and ASOS will be out of stock soon.
