Tall Orders

Several people I have talked to have serious crushes on over the knee boots.   So c’mon, let’s look at boots!

First up, Georgina Goodman Crystal Boot $826 at Endless Clearance

Versace $1240. at Saks Fifth Ave

Prada OTK Boot $1400  at Bergdorf Goodman

Henry Beguelin Scrunched OTK $1400. at Bergdorf Goodman

Two Lips Kitty Kat $102 at Zappos There are four colors.  Black, tan, purple and grey.

I am seeing this silouette a lot in stores right now.  Type Z Riderz $98 at Zappos

You can’t have over the knee boots without including Pleaser USA

Legend 8899 $74.00 at Zappos

With over the knee boots, it seems the higher the heel the more into stripper territory they get.  Personally, I think they look hot, as in temperature, hot.  My 23 year old son just laughed when I asked his opinion.  He still won’t say why he is laughing.

They would definitely turn heads on the street here in Texas. Wow!

Gal and Antoinette… Once my son quit laughing, these were his words, “I would like to meet those boots in a club, but would probably not take her to meet the parents. That is a lot of money to spend and she better not gain any weight.”
I also have “well developed quads”

I'm short & over 35…any thigh-high boots (flat or heeled) automatically trend toward stripperlicious/fetish category on me. Plus, to see all of a taller boot on me, we hit mini-skirt territory (and, except possibly for halloween or lingerie situations, that ship has sailed) AdOnce the boot is not visible paired under a skirt, over the knee/thigh high it is a waste of material in my case.

Added to that is the fact the my family are all 'thigh-enhanced' even when we are at our thinnest. At that point, anything over the knee becomes a custom order. But, at least at that $$$ point, you know you are getting a custom item for the price.

Oh, and it's been around 97 & horribly dry here…more than toasty for any of my knee-boots. But, rain & winter will be here eventually.

They really do look hot (sweat, yucky sweat). I wonder why your son was laughing.

Bronwyn, We topped 114 today (Phoenix area) I don't even want to THINK about wearing something that makes me hot.

I have four pairs of thigh boots, three of which are flat. I love them to bits. The fourth pair were bought (very very cheap) in case of fancy-dress needs and do veer into stripper territory – although I did wear them to work once (for a joke), and with sedate clothing they didn't look anywhere near as inappropriate as I'd expected.

And yes they are temperature hot. Which is good, seeing as you wear them in winter. Or at least I do.

The red ones definitely cross into the stripper territory. However, the heelless ones look awesome. They look edgy and cool.

high heels + thigh highs = probably a little too much. But if you take one element away, I think it could make for good fashion.
