This Week in Shoes
Posted on July 15th, 2007 by shoesense under This week in shoesHere’s a round-up of this week’s more noteworthy links about shoes:
- You’ve all heard about Skins shoes–the buzz has been phenomenal. Here’s one early review from someone who has actually tried the shoes and has been underwhelmed: Reena Jana for BusinessWeek.
- The Manolo explains why a Manolo Blahnik shoe is inimitable. First, the terse reply, then, the beautifully detailed explanation.
- Cocktails by Jenn is sponsoring a fabulous shoe giveaway that will allow you to Step Up In Style! Enter for a chance to win a new designer shoe wardrobe (you have until August 3rd).
- Bride assaults groom with high-heeled shoes. Nuff said. (Via Shoelover.)
- Shoewawa warns: Possibly the worst shoes in history. Hard to disagree.
- Always nice to remember a shoe legend such as Chuck Taylor. Here’s an article that does just that.
- Shoes with interchangeable tops have really taken off. Who would have thunk!
- Finally, the Wall Street Journal alerts us to the revival of the jazz shoe. Here are a couple of examples, both of which I would gladly wear: a pair of Anna Sui flats and a pair of fierce Louboutins:
