- Meet the Moot aka a man’s boot. It’s a custom designed boot (size 12W) that Stuart Weitzman made for Justin, the lead singer of the band Semi-Precious Weapons. While I applaud Justin for being so comfortable in his own shoes, I have to say that this is one trend that I don’t want crossing gender lines. [via TheFrisky]
- Would you believe that shoes are counterfeited more often than handbags and currency? I was surprised too. No mention on what type of shoes they were though. [ via AZBiz]
- From the oddly enough files, a bewitched teacher finally uncovers the mystery behind his missing shoes. Apparently, it wasn’t his fiance. [via Standard]
- What comes first – shoes or morals? A recent study found that morals will be overlooked if the price of the shoe is a good fit [via Seattle Times]
-For iPhone owners, here’s another must-have app which will lighten your wallet. The Lucky at your Service application will locate the nearest stores which carry shoes from their magazine. [via NYTimes]

I bought these Stuart Weitzman boots last year and I have to tell you they are the worst boots ever. I paid $500 for these boots and after 3 months the heal broke. And I tried getting them fixed but the heel broke three times! Thank God for Bloomies b/c they let me return them.

While I know that brands certain brands like Louboutin & coach are counterfeited & sold for $100's, I think the largest areas for shoe counterfeiters are sports brands like Adidas, Jordan, Nike. They can counterfeit these relatively cheaply and even selling them at $20-$30 is a huge profit.
