United Nude Cargo Boots

Okay, I’ve mentioned before that I am not tall. So, I’m short – perhaps on the tall side of short, but definitely shorter than most men or women I come across. Which is what it is – no big deal. I’ve actually found that since I look folks in the eye when I speak with them, that most of them (When asked; I’ve only tested this with people I’ve met more than once.) think that I’m taller than Iactually am and react with disbelief when they find out that my height is under 5′-3″.
Anyway, due to a combination of the above shortness, enhanced by a certain amount of unavoidable skeletal curvitude – breeders hips, if you will – cargo pants, while cute, are not a great fit for my physique. The wrong pair of cargo pants can make me look both short and dumpy. Short and sweet is fine. Short and cute I can life with. Short and dumpy – Ack!
So, we come to the above pictured ‘Pocket’ boots by United Nude. They are from fall 2009. It’s currently the off season for boots – a time when great deals can often be found. These are on off-season, summer discount for $146.21 over at Endless.com.
If you are like me and hate big, clunky purses when you are running errands, buy these. Seriously, they are utility pocket heaven, without making you the queen of big hips.
Plus, I suspect that wearing these I’d feel kind of like Lara Croft from Tomb Raider – ready for any adventure that might come up. Yeah, baby.
*PS: How cute is that zipper tag “Remove before Flight” on the lower-heeled khaki style? Yep, adventure awaits.

These boots are made for the military. I think the only time I'd wear these boots is to a halloween party.

Ooh, the Eamz are so funky. I like them, but they also kind of remind me of an office chair. I think I eventually still want a pair, though.

Tomb Raider was the first thing I thought of when I saw these! I can imagine women slinking around town in these pretending to be spies and assassins.
