Valentino Spring RTW 2010
Posted on October 10th, 2009 by r5bales under Flats, General, High heels, Sandals, Valentino Shoes, spring 2010 shoesI am a Valentino girl. I have to dress formal a few times a year and when I do, I always wish I had a pair of Valentino pumps to wear. I showed you their shoes during the Couture season. Rhianna, incidentally, wore a pair in her Italian Vogue photoshoot.
Now it is time to look at their Ready to Wear 2010. There is not a chunky platform in sight.
They always have a pair of flats that are just as beautiful as the heels.
If any one of my children were getting married next year (They better not), this is the pair of shoes I would want to wear as a mother of the bride/groom. I could wear a burlap sack (as long as it is beige) and wouldn’t care. With a fabulous pair of shoes like this, who needs more.
Love it.

Love love the black whole lace ones.
Love the first one, but this kind of thin wire on the toes is a torture while working or dancing

LOVE the lace shoes! Elegant yet edgy. You are so right the mother would almost upstage the bride in those shoes

I kind of loved these as well. There’s a way to do a deconstructed look while still being elegant. Love it when a shoe – like these – really work!

did the model in the first picture have an operation to remove her small toe? It sure looks like it’s missing.

I don’t like it when toes are hanging over the side. They need to make sure the shoes fit!

I love the flats! yes valentino is an amazing brand. I also noticed that chinky platforms are nowhere to be seen in the summer shows, they’re so comfortable though!

Thanks so much for the great post. These shoes are absolutely spectacular. They manage to combine elegance with unruly exuberance in a way that only Valentino could pull off.

Ashby, everyone has their own opinion and you are certainly entitled to yours. That said, if the site is not to your liking, you are free not to visit it.

But what does it say that we have our own hate page. We have anti-fans. I kind of love the attention!
I love the irony of anyone taking shoes – a harmless vice – personally enough to devote a dedicated rant page on their blog.
I, however, don’t hate the authors (me, among others)….self deprecation, however, is still on my regularly scheduled program.

Me too! While I prefer positive comments over negative ones, it’s good to know that someone is reading.
Incidentally, I’ve also been on a love affair with each of Valentino’s recent shoe collections – they are so pretty and feminine!

The other thing that really made me laugh was “we hate your ad network”. Like spending tons of hours writing for a blog and trying to have it be self-sustaining is somehow ignoble.
I always suspect these ads are targeted – based on web surfing habits. And if so, what does it say that they got Whitecastle & Walmart (which made hubby opine that the ‘I haters’ probably also hate that they still live in their parent’s basement, lol) in their targeted ads, but I always get Bluefly, Saks & occasionally Target or Payless.
ROTFLMAO
