Vince Camuto Flat Oxford Sandals

posted by: shoesense in Flats, Piperlime, Sandals, Vince Camuto Shoes on June 10th, 2008

I was complaining at some point about the lack of flat oxford choices for women like me who don’t want to be bothered with high heels. Pickings are slim, but this Vince Camuto “Alba” flat ($110 at Piperlime) comes as close as can be for the time being to what I’m looking for.  There is a black version, but it’s definitely blah; this one is a vivacious red with a subtle gold stripe at the heel and generous cutouts. I’d say…this is about 80% there. Almost handsome but not quite pretty, bur definitely interesting and going in the right direction.

I have 2 pairs of Vince Camuto & haven't had any problems with them. You may have gotten a random flawed pair? Mine are leather uppers with stacked wooden heels and would be easy to have a cobbler repair if I ever have any trouble. Good luck, though.

4/13/2010 Out of place and nowhere to share. Hello to all, only yesterday during a visit to my State Capitol in Tallahassee Florida I proceed to walk from the parking garage to the event. My right heel caught the step and thankfully I was not hurt nor did I miss the event. What did happen was a shoe of 2 years old did not hold up under this stress? It literally tore in half save the sole and my day trip with successive walking I flopped on. I cannot believe the inferior quality and have fears that I might have the same result with the 3 other pair. I have worn many shoes and have had many shoes repaired they have lasted several years with my good care I expected the same in this product I am disappointed and will be monitoring carefully future incidents and report to Consumer Reporting.

Iown 2 other Vince Camuto pairs of similar style, I find am fearful wearing either

I adore Camuto! Super comfy! Great all day shoes [no matter the heel height] and I never have a "break in" period with them.

Not cuper crazy about the gold accents, but they're minor enough to go unnoticed. Affordable enough to get both colors!

    They're a buck cheaper at endless.com

I saw these flat oxfords by Taryn Rose on the Piperlime website, and actually thought of your quest:

The problem is the color choice, while practical, is a little uninspired.

I have to say, though, that I love her flats with a brogue/wingtip toe, at Zappos. I adore them from afar.

Actually pretty cute. OK, does lack the Ooh La La of the heeled version by the same designer, but definitely a flat I might wear – most of them are too plain for me, I like a little 'Flash'. And really, it's hard to go wrong with red – any gal who doesn't have a touch in her shoe collection doesn't know what she's missing!
