Ciara Music Video Shoes

Here are a couple of photos of Ciara in her latest music video. I don’t even know where to begin with this. As Michael K from Dlisted.com puts it, MacGyver meets Hookers at the Point.
Update: Ciara came to the MTV video awards last night wearing Givenchy Couture. After thinking about this, I am inclined to think this is a sight gag for her video because Ciara really has a great sense of style.

Hmm, well, coming from the perspective of a gay black male, I think she looks fab! She has such a womanly shape, and there isn't anything fat about her! Check out her music videos. She's all muscle (but she does seem a bit bulkier than usual). And I mean c'mon, that ghastly nightmare she's wearing in the first picture isn't exactly flattering. Hahaha!
But i'd be delusional to deny the fact that people from different backgrounds have differing opinions.

She has a fairly 'hardbody' – looks like she is very muscled. So, she is probably as thin as her body will get while being in amazing shape. It actually reminds me of the body of one of the 'bridesmaids' on a recent project runway. A lot of bloggers keep referring to that model as 'Fat' & I keep shaking my head wondering when unhealthily underweight runway models made designers call insanely fit women 'fat' & difficult to design for. Putting away my soapbox/rant. Perceptions obviously come depending on one's own experience & culture (This coming from a gal who with ribs showing could have a size 2-4 waist but never below a size 6-8 hip; I learned a long time ago that you can't change your skeletal shape.) This is not to denigrate naturally thin women, but there are a lot of different shapes & sizes that are still healthy as well.

Fascinating how two people can have such drastically differing opinions over the same photo. I think her body is NOT at all amazing (her arms are fine and she has a very pretty face), to me, she is thick through the middle and disproportionately bottom heavy. One of her thighs is probably larger in circumference than my waist is, and yet she is going to great lengths to show them off!?! I guess this is a perfect example of how different cultures have very different perceptions of beauty, sexiness, fitness, taste, style, etc.

Looks like the Shoe was just glued onto the sole – and not that perfectly.

Ciara is really a beautiful woman. Wilhelmina signed her on as a model in 2009, and she is featured in German Vogue and is supposed to be in the French Vogue some time soon. The story is that she is working on her own clothing line. I hope this is not a preview of the line.
Is this Chuck-Stripper shoe something that is going on in the hip-hop community and I don't know about it, or just a sight gag for her video?
